Jay Lucey develops and directs EWG’s federal and state grassroots and direct lobbying strategies and capabilities. Before joining EWG, he ran a bipartisan association representing governors, focused on clean energy, climate change and sustainability policy. Lucey has also managed government affairs and strategic communications for an energy company. He started his career managing the energy and environmental legislative portfolio for his own member of Congress, Rep. James P. McGovern (D-Mass). Lucey graduated from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He hails from central Massachusetts, the heart of New England.
